While I experienced few of the problems reported in this thread prior to your most recent reboot, I am now unable to logon to the game. It takes forever just to get to the character selection screen, and once I finally get it to load and click on my character, the screen fades to black and stays that way.
Note that CTRL-Q still allows me to exit the game. If I'm not mistaken, that's handled by the client... which would indicate that it's a server hang-up I'm experiencing.
As much as I'd like to pat CCP and its devs on the back for a job-well-done, I'm afraid that I can't. I think it's time for you guys to revisit your testing and quality assurance methods, as they seem to be severely lacking.
Oh, and I noticed this addition to your main page:
"Red Moon Rising has been successfully released onto Tranquility. The update took approximitly 26 hour to complete which was only 2 hours more than planned. We are of course keeping a very close eye on the update and will work hard to eliminate all issues as fast as possible."
I know it's a small detail, but...
1. "successfully released" would depend on your definition of successfully... if you mean that no human lives were lost during the deployment, then I suppose you're bang on.
2. By my calculations, the deployment took 29 hours, not 26. I can understand the need for maintaining a good PR image... but being disingenous isn't the best way to accomplish this.
3. "approximitly" (sic) is spelled APPROXIMATELY; and it should be HOURS (plural, meaning more than one), and not "hour" (sic). Small things, to be sure, especially since your average 14-20 y.o. player won't notice (or care about) the mispelling. Your more mature audience, however, may equate proper spelling and grammar with the level of professionalism that CCP is trying to project.
Now that that's out of the way, I do want to say that I like most of the changes that have been introduced with RMR, especially some of the refinements to the lower-end ship classes. I'm looking forward to being able to log on to the game, in order to see and experience the remaining changes.
